Fishing reel problems?

i was woundering if anyone had the same problem i do were when i fish i put my spinning reels down on the ground and next thing i know the paint on my expensive reels are scuffed and scratched and look crappy but they still get the job done i was just wounder how long after you buy a new reel befor they get scuffed. for me because i fish every day i can for up to eight hous a day about 2 weeks and how would you repair them or solve this problem.
