How do you get rid of scratches and scuff marks?

I'm a college student living in a dorm. Well before I move out I need to clean the room throughly, but there are some hard to get rid of scratches and scuff marks on the tile of the floor where my chair slides (the legs are all wood so I can understand why). Any ideas on how to get rid of them?
