Why do people not like cassette tapes?

Recently, vinyl has been selling millions in the US and artists have started released records on vinyl. I know vinyl has better sound, but how come cassettes can't come back into this nostalgic music world? I mean Dinosuar Jr. Is re-releasing "Bug" on cassette and people are already questioning why and dissing the cassette. Why do people hate the cassette? They are cheaper to buy, don't get scuffed, and you can't really pirate them which means money for artists.
