Help with Streaming Video?

I wanted to to know if it is possible to stream video from a wireless camera, that someone in a remote location, even another city, could watch live. For instance, I know that there are helmet cams that mountain bikers wear. These record on a SD card. I wanted to know if it would be possible to stream video from a camera like that live, so that someone at the bottom of the mountain or even in another city could watch, so they could see the rider as he/she progresses in real time. Does that make sense? And if so is it possible?
