Mexicans, what's your feeling when you see that hundreds of american cities have a spanish mexican name?

It means that those places specially in the South West have Spanish roots, something to be proud of, those places have a history that often is not found in traditional American history books, sometimes is easier to find the history of those places before they become part of the USA in Mexico or Spain or maybe the Caribbean, but still very American nowadays. There is also a lot of french names in a lot of places that also I found interesting. Basically what they all tells you is that the land that now is the USA has roots in different cultures, the south west with Spain and Mexico, Florida with Spain, the mid west and far North East with France, the English in the east, and we have not to forget the native names all across the country, the original Americans.
